| What will this camera do? |
A video camera designed for Koi and water garden hobbyists. This water camera was engineered for external applications including continuously submerged installations. It can be used in any internal or external application.
|
| Is the camera hard to install? |
No, it is probably the simplest electronic device you will ever use. Simply lower the camera into the water and then run the single cable to the composite video port of your TV or VCR, plug in the DC adapter, switch your TV to video and begin watching your fish.
|
| How do I know if the camera will work with my TV or VCR? |
Just look for a RCA jack on the front or back of the device. Usually it will be the first of 3, the other two being for audio. If it does not have the video input all you need is a short RCA to RCA cable available at most electronics stores. Compatible with all plotters that accept composite video inputs.
|
| Won't the camera rust underwater? |
No, all external surfaces on under water camera are corrosion resistant. The casing and camera will provide many years of enjoyment in MOST outdoor applications. It is Weatherproof/Waterproof and can withstand full immersion in water and stand up to any type of weather.
|
| Is the lens hard to clean? |
A cover protects the camera lens. Rubbing your wet finger across the cover easily cleans lens.
|
| Can I leave the camera in my pond over the winter? |
Great idea! There is no reason to remove the camera unless you expect your pond to freeze solid. This means you can watch your fish in even the most inclement weather without going outside!.
|
| Can I see my fish at night? |
Day/Night Operation: We are no longer offering a camera with LEDS for two reasons:
We have discovered that the nature and density of water is causing the LEDS to wear out prematurely. And, we found that the LEDS does not offer sufficient viewing at night unless the fish swims up to the lens. We have found that a much better option is to place lights above the water and behind the camera which will give you excelling night time viewing. I also suggest that the above lighting be put on a timer so that they are only on for a few hours after dark, as to not disturb the fish at night for a long period of time. |
The camera will connect to any device with an RCA video input connector. If your computer has a TV video card, it probably has one of these jacks. |
